ANNOUNCEMENTS

FROM THE DESK OF THE QUARTERMASTER

September is Suicide Awareness Month. I encourage you to check in on your loved ones, co-workers, friends, or family. Sometimes, the signs of depression can be easily seen, but in other situations, you would never know someone is struggling. I myself have lost brothers and sisters I served with to the battle within. Their loss wasn't easy then, and it never will be. As I said, I encourage you to check in with those you love. If you are a veteran, we here at the VFW Post in Sandusky, and all VFW posts are open for you to come in. It doesn't matter if you served in a foreign conflict. If you need help, come and see us. We are here for you and will, along with all members of the VFW, continue to fight the fight that we hope ends Veteran suicide.
